Witon Engineering has had a certified ISO 9001 Quality Management System since June 2004 and a certified IATF 16949 Automotive Quality Management System (previously TS 16949) since December 2009, using SGS as our certification body.

Ensuring the quality and accuracy of turned parts is our sole concern for full customer satisfaction and, reliability of the product. We prevail in doing so by using cutting edge equipment and maintaining strict procedures.

To complement our quality system we make optimum use of the following facilities:-

  • Mitutoyo surface tester with print out
  • Baty shadow graph
  • Taly Rond roundness tester to 3 microns resolution
  • Computer controlled Internal calibration system traceable to national standards, and external calibration using a UKAS ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory.
  • Full product and material traceability
  • P.P.A.P Level 2 as standard
  • FMEA, IMDS, Capability Study, Gauge Study, SPC, Etc.
  • Tesa Scan 50C+ Non-contact measuring machine

Inspection

We have a Dürr cleaning machine that gently removes contaminants from the components after the machining process using a combination of high grade solvent, heat, vacuum and ultrasound, resulting in the highest standards of cleanliness before the components are passed onto the inspection department.

Recently repositioned and upgraded, the inspection room maintains the cleanliness standards achieved by the Dürr to safeguard all components from contamination and ensure the best environment for measurement, evaluation and analysis of each lot by an experienced team of inspectors using a combination of traditional and state of the art measurement technologies.
